CARD SME Bank joins 2019 Brigada Eskwela

CARD SME Bank Head Office branch participated in the annual Brigada Eskwela program of the Department of Education and donated school supplies and gallons of paint to San Pablo Central Elementary School in San Pablo City, Laguna on May 20, 2019.

The school supplies were distributed to 100 pupils while the gallons of paint will be used to repaint the walls and ceilings of school classrooms. The distribution was led by Ms. Cynthia B. Baldeo, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the bank, and were accepted by Ms. Michelle Dorado, School Principal, and Ms. Minerva M. Rosales, Master Teacher II and Brigada Coordinator during the kick-off program at the school gymnasium.

Apart from the donation, several officers and staff of CARD SME Bank also volunteered in cleaning classrooms and school grounds of the school.

“CARD SME Bank values education. Through this initiative and support, we hope that we’re able to support the school in warmly welcoming their pupils to a safe learning environment this coming school year,” said Ms. Baldeo.

“We are happy that CARD SME Bank has chosen our school for this year’s Brigada Eskwela. Thank you for helping us in improving our school and making our classrooms more conducive for learning,” expressed Principal Dorado.

Introducing Isme

At the Brigada, CARD SME Bank also took the opportunity to introduce its new mascot Isme. Isme is the newest face of the Bank in promoting savings consciousness to parents and children.

“He is an ideal figure that will surely catch the children’s attention. With him is a coin bank to show how every peso is valuable. Kids will surely adore the look of Isme,” said Mr. Noli M. Martinez, Head for Marketing of CARD SME Bank.
