ALMOST 1,500 microfinance clients benefited from the series of community health days conducted by CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) in Gamay, Daram, San Antonio, Talalura, Villareal, and General McArthur, Samar.

“Community health day is part of our commitment of bringing health-related programs and services more accessible for our clients,” said Marilyn M. Manila, director for CARD MRI’s Community Development Group, adding that the said activity is a regular program of CARD MRI.

Free medical, dental, and optical are among the services to be rendered during the said health days. Medicines will also be provided at a discounted rate, which will be facilitated by BotiCARD Inc., the pharmacy and a member institution of CARD MRI.

“CARD MRI’s implementation of health protection services, through its Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP) Program unit, to its clients has been regularly implemented nationwide since 2006,” shared Ms. Manila.

To date, the community health days conducted in the Visayas areas this 2016 reached to more than 12,800 CARD MRI clients and their beneficiaries, and its local communities.
