CARD supports RAPID Growth. The Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) is among the social development organizations in the Philippines present at the launching of Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth (RAPID Growth) project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on May 24, 2019 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. The project, which aims to reach farmers and microentrepreneurs, is a 4.7-billion-peso valuechain-based and market-driven business development initiativefunded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). CARD, for its part, will collaborate by sharing its experiences in doing business development services (BDS) supportto its more than six million micro and SME clients since 2008. CARD and DTI have been working together especially in ending poverty in the Philippines, which the RAPID Growth project also directly address.
