Strengthening Financial Inclusion in the Philippines. The board and executive committee members of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) paid a visit to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Monday, May 26, 2019. CARD MRI through its Founder and Chair Emeritus Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip introduced and updated BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno and other BSP officials on the state of its financial inclusion efforts in the country. Dr. Alip explained that in 2020 CARD MRI aims to reach eight million families and insure 40 million individuals nationwide. He also reported the continuous expansion the group is doing especially to areas where access to financing is limited. Currently, CARD MRI is reaching more than six million micro and SME clients across all provinces in the Philippines including the National Capital Region (NCR).
