CARD, Inc. to conduct Kaunlaran Caravan in Baler

Another Kaunlaran Caravan is set to be conducted by Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD), Inc. (A Microfinance NGO) in Baler, Aurora Province on April 5, 2019.

The caravan is part of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions’ (CARD MRI) community development initiative where programs on health, financial literacy session for kids, livelihood training, mass wedding, and SSS and PhilHealth registration, among others are rendered. The program is open to CARD MRI’s microfinance clients and their dependents and the general public.

CARD, Inc., which is one of the 21 institutions of CARD MRI, has been operational in Baler since 2015 reaching more than 1,000 clients.

“We at CARD, Inc. is in the business of poverty eradication. To achieve this, it is vital for us to provide services that are holistic and tailored fit to the needs of our clients,” said Jocelyn Dequito, CARD, Inc. Executive Director.

When CARD MRI first organized the Kaunlaran Caravan, it received huge support from its clients and the general public. “We then decided to conduct the program regularly because social development programs are what we really prioritized at CARD,” she added.

To date, the Kaunlaran Caravan of CARD MRI already reached at least 2,000 individuals since its implementation in 2017. In Baler, the program is expected to benefit at least 500 microfinance clients of CARD and their dependents and the general public.
