CARD MRI brings Kaunlaran Caravan to Baler, Aurora

The CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) organized its 5th Kaunlaran Caravan in Baler, Aurora Province on April 5,2019.

The Kaunlaran Caravan was launched in 2017 to promote CARD MRI’s community development services to its clients.

CARD MRI is operational in Baler through its microfinance NGO, the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) Inc., since 2015.

In Baler, the community development programs rendered were free medical, dental, and optical services through CARD MRI’s Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP), Social Security System (SSS) orientation and registration, livelihood training, and insurance awareness by CARD Mutually Benefit Association (CARD MBA).

Financial literacy session for kids was also organized. This year, the Ang Magic Alkansya ni Carding story book is launched. The initiative aims to promote financial literacy among children even at their very young age.

More than 500 residents of Baler and neighboring towns of Maria and San Luis benefited from the caravan.

CARD MRI is a group of 21 social development-oriented institutions including CARD, Inc. and CARD MBA that aims to eradicate poverty through financial and community development programs such a health, education, and livelihood, among others.
