CARD community health days all set this March

Series of community health days (CHD) this month will be conducted by the four major institutions of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) namely CARD, Inc., CARD Bank, CARD MRI Rizal Bank, and CARD SME Bank.

CHD is a regular community development effort of the four major institutions in collaboration with CARD MRI’s Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP) unit. The initiative aims to bring medical practitioners closer to the economically-challenged communities so that they can avail quality health services for free or at a reasonably low price.

Medical, dental, optical, and health education are among the services offered during the health fair. The CHD is open to all residents within the identified area.

The areas of Bacacay, Albay; San Fernando, Romblon; and Aglipay, Quirino (March 12), Agutaya, Palawa (March 12-13), Malilipot, Albay; Cajidiocan, Romblon; and Maddela, Quirino (March 13), Tabaco, Albay; Romblon, Romblon; and Nagtipunan, Quirino (March 14), Tiwi, Albay; Linapacan, Palawan; and Casiguran, Aurora (March 15), El Nido, Palawan (March 16), Taytay, Palawan (March 18), Calatagan, Batangas and Talavera, Nueva Ecija (March 19), Lemery, Batangas; Araceli, Palawan; and Ilanera, Nueva Ecija (March 20), San Pedro, Laguna and Rizal, Nueva Ecija (March 21), Roxas, Palawan (March 22), Puerto Princesa, Palawan (March 23 and 27), Bataraza, Palawan (March 25), and Sofronio Espanola, Palawan (March 26) will benefit from the CHD of CARD MRI.

A Kaunlaran Caravan will also be conducted in Baler, Aurora on April 5, 2019. The caravan showcases the various community development programs of CARD MRI, which includes mass wedding, financial literacy, and orientation and enrollment to PhilHealth and Social Security System.

As of February 2019, CARD MRI already conducted 46 community health days in Luzon with 20,175 beneficiaries.
