Bountiful harvest

The CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), in partnership with the East-West Seed Foundation (EWSF), conducted “Ceremonial Harvest” during the Home Gardening Project Culminating Activity held at Lalao, Purok 2, Brgy. Tranca, Bay, Laguna on October 26, 2018. Home Gardening Project was launched after the signing of the partnership agreement between CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) and EWSF on May 2018, addressing the issues and concerns about the high level of malnutrition in the country especially among children as shown in the 8th National Nutrition Survey (NNS) by the Food and Nutrition Institute (FNI). CMDI is the school and training center of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) that provides technical and vocational skills development, livelihood and entrepreneurship programs, health education, and environment preservation, among others. While EWSF is a non-profit development organization that aims to contribute to the attainment of the sustainable development goal in the country, to end hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
