Road to 100 branches

CARD Bank, a microfinance-oriented rural bank, celebrated the opening of its 91st branch in 451 Alabang Zapote Road, Talon 1, Las Piñas City on October 29, 2018. The opening is part of the bank’s “Road to 100 Branches” countdown. According to CARD Bank President and CEO Marivic Austria, this expansion is their way of achieving financial inclusion in the country. The 100th branch is set to be opened in 2019. Austria further emphasized that more branches mean more unbanked individuals will be reached by the bank, which also supports the poverty eradication goal of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), a group of 21 development institutions including CARD Bank. The CARD MRI group provides microfinance and social development programs to socio-economically challenged families. To date, CARD MRI is serving more than six million clients where more than 2.6 million of them are clients of CARD Bank.
