CARD MBA opens Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office

CARD Mutual Benefit Association (CARD MBA), Inc. opened its 56th Provincial Office (PO) in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on June 4, 2018 to bring closer its microinsurance services to the communities it serves.

“Our goal is to let every Filipino have access to microinsurance, an affordable and important safety net in times of unfortunate events,” said Rona Nava, CARD MBA Deputy Director for Operations.

Nava also said that the Association is planning to open another PO in Zamboanga-Basulta within the year. “Our continuous expansion is part of our commitment to the 5-8-40 strategic direction of CARD MRI,” she added.

The 5-8-40 strategic direction of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) aims to reach eight million microfinance clients and insure 40 million individuals in five years starting 2016.

To date, CARD MBA insures 16,490,553 Filipinos nationwide, which is 41 % of the CARD MRI goal. “It is still a long way to go but we at CARD MBA is determined to reach our goal armed with our passion to serve and eradicate poverty through microinsurance,” said Nava.

CARD MBA is the microinsurance provider of the four financial institutions of CARD MRI, the CARD, Inc., CARD Bank, Rizal Bank, Inc., and CARD SME Bank. The Association is fully owned and managed by its members. Moreover, CARD MBA promotes the welfare of marginalized women and extend financial assistance to its members in the form of death benefits, retirement fund, and loan redemption package.
