Dr. Alip attends TYM Anniversary in Vietnam

Collaboration and continuous innovation as the key to success. Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip (3rd from left), the founder and chairman of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), was invited on October 6 by TYM as one of its speakers during a panel discussion of its accomplishments and the challenges they encountered in the past 25 years. During his part, Dr. Alip commended TYM for its unwavering commitment in providing the poor women in Vietnam a more professionalized access to credit. He also encouraged TYM to go beyond by providing microinsurance, business development and marketing, and developmental services such as health protection and education programs to complement its microfinance program and eventually reach its full potential. Dr. Alip is the first technical trainer and longtime friend of TYM, the first microfinance institution in Vietnam that was founded by the Vietnam Women’s Union.
