CMDI awards exemplary teachers

CARD-MRI Development Institute (CMDI) recognized the exemplary performance and service of its teachers in Tagum Campus during the graduation ceremony of Senior High school on April 17, 2018.

Anelyn Bactasa, who teaches Organization and Management and Understanding Culture and Society Politics, was recognized for her service as coach of the International Science Quiz Bee held at Boracay Island,  Aklan, last October 26-30, 2017.

Annamarie Zata, who teaches English for Academic and Professional Purposes and Classical Research 1, was recognized for coaching CMDI student-athletes for Badminton City-meet level last November 10, 2017 at Tagum City.

Moreover, School Registrar, Jeremiah Hardin, and Math teacher, Edgar Sernada, were recognized for coaching JS Cup Interschool Basketball last August 31, 2017 at Tagum City.

“I am humbled with the recognition given by CMDI to me. As a teacher, it is always my dream to help students succeed in life,” Teacher Anelyn said.

CMDI is the training institute and school of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), a group of 21 institutions that aims to eradicate poverty in the country. For the part of CMDI, poverty eradication is through education.

The graduation was attended by the CARD MRI Founder and CMDI Chairman Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, CARD MRI Managing Director and CMDI President Flordeliza Sarmiento, CMDI Vice President for Administration and Academic Affairs Deverna Briones, CARD SME Bank President and CEO Aristeo Dequito, CMDI Vice President for Learning and Development Dr. Edzel Ramos, CMDI Deputy Director for Training Christian Albert Sandoval, CMDI Tagum first commencement speaker SGV Partner Christian G. Lauron, CMDI staff headed by School Administrator Niña Peralta, parents, and graduates.
