More than 800 individuals in Daan Bantayan, Bogo City, Tuburan, and Catmon in Cebu received free medical, dental, and optical services from CARD, Inc. during its Community Health Days (CHD) last January 16-21, 2018.

As part of CARD’s Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP) program, the CHD is a regular initiative of the organization for its clients and their dependents nationwide. “Health is one of the many aspects of our microfinance and social development efforts that we prioritize,” said Jocelyn Dequito, executive director of CARD, Inc.

Medical, dental, and optical were among the services rendered during the health fairs. “We also conducted health education to reinforce our agenda of shaping healthier and wiser micro-entrepreneurs,” said Marilyn Manila, director for community development of CARD.

This is the first series of CHD conducted by CARD, Inc. this year. The next set of health caravan in Cebu will be announced in February by CARD account officers, serving their respective units.

CARD, Inc. is a microfinance-oriented NGO based in San Pablo City, Laguna with more than 1,490 offices nationwide, 1.9 million clients served, and P9.9 billion total assets.
