One of the pioneering rural development practitioners, Dr. Dolores Torres, of the CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), visits CARD Bank Pavia in Iloilo to deliver the good news to its clients. Dr. Torres shared the big technological step CARD Bank is undertaking in the microfinance industry with the use of mobile phones to do banking transactions. This allows faster service to CARD Bank microfinance clients and drives positive change in the community with the adoption of this technology. Other CARD MRI leaders are also visiting CARD clients nationwide to personally share the recent advancements to the members of the organization. It is expected that the CARD core banking system will be fully implemented across all CARD branches before the year ends.a
