CMDI spreads LOVE to its scholars

CARD-MRI Development Institute (CMDI), a member institution of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), mobilized P299,156 for the CMDI L-O-V-E Fund for the second quarter of 2017. After its launch last April 2017, CMDI will make the L-O-V-E Fund scholarship program a legacy in helping CARD members to provide quality education for their children.

“We have always envisioned that no student will be a school drop-out regardless of social standing,” Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, founder and chairman of CARD MRI said. “Education is the key to a brighter future for Filipino families,” he added.

During Dr. Alip’s trip in Cambodia with his wife, Mrs. Annie Alip, he was inspired by a fund raising activity for students. A metal forming the letters L-O-V-E struck his heart, inspiring him to replicate the program.

CMDI L-O-V-E Fund was introduced during Dr. Alip’s 60th birthday and retirement celebration. During the event, a booth was set up for CMDI L-O-V-E fund program where willing sponsors donated any amount to the educational fund for CMDI scholars. The sponsors also had the opportunity to compose personal messages of motivation for the scholars.

From then on, donating in the LOVE Fund has become a regular part of CARD MRI’s corporate events.

With 9,577 granted scholars nationwide as of August 2017, CARD MRI will continue to spread the LOVE to their scholars and give them the chance to study and reach for their dreams. With the help of CMDI L-O-V-E Fund, CARD MRI aims to fulfill the “One Family, One Graduate program” to support poverty eradication through education.
