2,300 Tawi-Tawi locals received free health care services

At least 2,300 microfinance clients and local residents in Bongao, Sitangkai Island, Sibuto Island, Panglima Sugala, and Tandubas Island in Tawi-tawi benefitted from the series of community health days conducted by the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development, Inc. (CARD, Inc.) together with the Microfinance and Health Protection (MaHP) Program of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) last January 2017.

“Community health day is part of our commitment of bringing health-related programs and services more accessible for our clients. CARD MRI’s implementation of health protection services to its clients has been regularly implemented nationwide since 2006” Marilyn M. Manila, director for CARD MRI Community Development Group, said.

This is also the maiden health fair activity of CARD, Inc. in Mindanao this year. “By February, we will be in Zamboanga, Sulu, and Basilan,” Manila concluded.

CARD, Inc. is a member organization of CARD MRI, a social development organization that is in the business of poverty eradication in the country.
