CARD MRI Founder congratulates 2022 RVR Awardee

CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) Founder and Chair Emeritus Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, the 2019 recipient of the Ramon V. Del Rosario Award for Nation Building, attended the recommenced awarding ceremony on July 25, 2022.

This year, the recipient of the RVR award is Jollibee Founder and Chair Dr. Tony Tan Caktiong. “At CARD MRI, we recognize the efforts of our fellow Filipinos in our fight towards development. While we aspire as an institution to contribute to poverty eradication, we know that we cannot do it alone. Nation builders like Dr. Tony Tan Caktiong inspires us to continue our journey of providing better opportunities for our countrymen,” Dr. Alip stated as he congratulates this year’s awardee.

Dr. Alip was awarded in 2019 for his advocacy in ending poverty in the Philippines through the provision of microfinance, microinsurance, and community development programs in hardest-to-reach communities. Meanwhile, Dr. Tan Caktiong is recognized for his work in Jollibee Group, enabling a Filipino company to become an internationally recognized brand.

Joining him in the ceremony are other former awardees: Former Planters Development Bank Chairman and CEO Ambassador Jesus P. Tambunting and Former Department of Agriculture Secretary Senen Bacani. Both were the first recipients of the RVR award in 2010.

The RVR is organized by JCI Manila, PHINMA Corporation, and the Asian Institute of Management Center for Corporate Responsibility.
