Aisa Talipon, a proud CARD, Inc. client and successful entrepreneur from Cotabato City, stands as a living testament that through dedication, nothing can stop someone from reaching their dreams.

With dedication and the right business partner, Aisa Talipon, an entrepreneur from Cotabato City, has built a thriving fish vending business that paved the way for her family’s brighter future.

Aisa started a fish vending business in 1987. She started small and gradually flourished into a thriving business. It provided her family with a stable source of income. Despite facing challenges along the way, Aisa persevered, driven by her unwavering commitment to uplift her family’s livelihood.

In 2017, Aisa’s path intersected with CARD, Inc. (A Microfinance NGO), when she became a Paglambo client, receiving her first financial assistance of PHP 20,000 which she solely used for business and to meet her family’s needs.

With seven years of clientship, Aisa utilized each fund to sustain her business and support her family’s needs. Furthermore, beyond financial gains, the support of CARD, Inc., enables her to support her children’s educational expenses through educational financing.

Through the years, Aisa’s fish vending business in Mega Market, Cotabato City, has evolved from retail to wholesale, catering to bulk orders from loyal customers, predominantly retailers. Her Paglambo financing portfolio has reached up to PHP 300,000, proof of her wise financial management.

Now, Aisa has carved a niche for herself in the market earning an average daily income of PHP 70,000 with her ten stalls that offer a diverse range of fish products outsourced from trusted suppliers in General Santos City and Digos, Davao del Norte.

With Aisa’s business success, she renovated their house, purchased a car used for both business and family purposes, and opened multiple savings accounts for future security.

Also, three of her children have followed in her footsteps. They also become successful business owners who are currently handling fishponds.

To ensure diverse financial inclusion across nations, CARD, Inc. granted a license to provide financing services that are not forbidden or prohibited by Islamic law through its Paglambo project.

The Paglambo Project, a Shari’ah-inspired financing program that allows Muslim communities to have access to financial services, has created a positive impact on Aisa’s life. It empowered her to sustain her business and invest in her children’s future, breaking the cycle of poverty and creating opportunities for generations to come.

As we celebrate Aisa’s journey of resilience and success, let her story serve as an inspiration and be reminded that “through dedication, perseverance, and support from the right business partner like CARD, we can build a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and prosper,” she concluded.
