CMDI Recognizes the President Commissioner of FDS Indonesia as Honorary Dean

Pak Otto Toto Sugiri, the President Commissioner of Fortress Data Services in Indonesia gave his inspirational message to the academic year 2023-2024 graduates of CMDI Bay Campus.

The CARD-MRI Development Institute (CMDI), Inc. awarded Pak Otto Toto Sugiri, the President Commissioner of Fortress Data Services (FDS) Indonesia, as the “Honorary Dean” of Information and Communications Technology in its Sixth Commencement Exercise at the CMDI Gymnasium in Brgy. Tranca, Bay, Laguna, on July 26, 2024.

The award serves as recognition for his important role as a leader and a teacher, pushing through innovative technology not just in Indonesia but around the world.

Pak Toto started as an IT general manager at Bank Bali in 1983. He also established PT Sigma Cipta Caraka in 1989 and PT Indointernet Tbk in 1994. From 2012 to 2016, he became the President Commissioner of PT DCI Indonesia Tbk, and from 2016 until now, he has been its President Director. Aside from that, he was also the mentor for the new technopreneurs in Indonesia, demonstrating his expertise in IT.

Pak Otto also served as the CMDI graduation’s guest speaker. He shared three key lessons with the graduates of CMDI Bay: first, to be a good person and add value to the people around you to create positive change; second, to embrace failures and challenges as learning experiences; and third, to dream and think big and never settle for something small.

According to CARD MRI Founder and Chairman Emeritus Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, the award given to Pak Toto was very relevant and timely due to his significant contribution to CARD MRI. “The CARD MRI and FDS collaboration has built a bridge for innovative technologies to become more accessible for clients and staff. I believe that the life and career of Pak Toto will inspire graduates to create a better and stronger future,“ he said.
