CARD MRI immediate in responding to more than 100,000 ‘Glenda’ survivors

CARD MRI has been responsive to every need of its affected families under its wings through fast payment of claims, urgent provision of relief goods, and a reliable communication system among its staff and members.

As of August 7, 2014, after thorough assessment of affected families, CARD MRI reported 153,672 clients affected by typhoon Glenda. CARD paid PhP 61.5-M to all its affected clients for its CARD MRI Disaster and Relief Assistance Program (CDRAP).

The number of affected CaMIA PAID Plan policy holders has also reached to 19,340 with claims payment of PhP 46-M. These claims provide immediate assistance to policyholders to rebuild and repair their houses damaged by disasters.

During the height of typhoon, solar lights, one of the products of CARD-Business Development Service Foundation Inc. (CARD-BDSFI), were being utilized in the different offices of CARD MRI located in affected areas to facilitate continuous service to the members and clients. ATM machines were also fully operational in all CARD Bank, Inc. branches to cater to financial needs of members and non-members.
