Enhancing the Value of CARD MicroEntreprepinays

CARD Bank, Inc. recently held its 2nd Micro-Entrepinay (ME) Conference with the theme: “The Value of ME (MicroEntreprepinay)!”  This year, the said conference was a two-day event and conducted in three different regions.  The first run was conducted at CARD-MRI Development Institute (CMDI), Brgy. Tranca, Bay, Laguna last August 7-8 for members in Luzon Area. It was followed by a second run in Regent Hotel, Naga City on August 14-15 for members in Bicol Region, Masbate and nearby towns of Quezon Province. The last run was held in Hotel Del Rio, Iloilo City on August 21-22 for members in Panay Island, Davao, Tacloban and Bohol. The conference focused on how CARD MicroEntrepinay can improve and put value on their products/enterprises through value chain management, product development and innovation. The three runs of the conference drew more than 250 participants including CARD MicroEntreprepinays, guests and selected CARD Bank, Inc. officers.

The conference kicked-off with a keynote speech coming from inspiring social entrepreneurs in their regions. They imparted their ideas and expertise on product designing. During the event CARD  MicroEntrepinays learned ideas on how to manage and create a world class product out of basic raw materials. They were enlightened on the value chain management, global product trends and innovation that somehow kept  them aware and prepared in the upcoming ASEAN Integration in 2015. Representatives from Department of Science and Technology (DOST)shared numerous way on how to improve product labels, packages, and designs.

Other conference highlights includes panel discussion “What it Takes to be ME?”  wherein the Galing Ni Nanay Awardees as well as successful entrepreneurs in their region took the center stage.  The panelist imparted successful strategies in building a lasting enterprise image, value, and brand. The conference was also packed with product booth exhibits and a wealth of networking opportunities.
